Health Community

Bertelsmann Health Community – the cross-divisional steering committee


The Bertelsmann Health Community is a strategic, cross-divisional group that exchanges on the topic of health through a network of all relevant stakeholders in Germany. Working together, the community develops health projects and steers their implementation nationwide. It is made up of HR managers from all divisions, operative executives, health experts, the chairs of the in-house Medical Service Department and the Company Social Counseling Services, Occupational Safety and Supervisory Board Members as well as Bertelsmann’s Representative for Employees with Disabilities. The group closely collaborates to promote a uniform understanding of health and health management. The 37-member committee meets twice a year with working groups coordinating projects in between. If necessary, online conferences are also convened. 


BGM Strategy Group

The “Health Management Strategy Committee” is an interdisciplinary exchange committee that addresses health issues relevant to the future at Bertelsmann in Germany.

As an advisory and steering body, the BMG Strategy Group makes recommendations on the strategic orientation of health management and creates the structural prerequisites for implementing its strategy. The Strategy Group brings together all central health departments on a six-week basis, including: Bertelsmann Health Management, Company Medical Service, Company Social Service, Occupational Safety, Sports and Health, Bertelsmann health insurance. The Bertelsmann's Group Works Council, the Group Representative for Employees with Disabilities, Bertelsmann University and Corporate Responsibility & Diversity Management are also represented.
