Healthy employees in a healthy company is also the top priority for Gruner + Jahr's workplace health management: Employees are encouraged to behave consciously at work and in their free time by offering a wide range of occupational safety and health services that counteract health complaints, strengthen well-being and increase job satisfaction. Appropriate measures have been developed to protect and promote the health of employees and managers.
To coordinate and support health activities, health ambassadors are appointed by site management at every company location. The aim is to promote the topic of health in a targeted and sustainable manner and to identify the specific health topics relevant to the particular site. In their function, health ambassadors are the partner for employees on the topic of health and serve to disseminate and communicate relevant information.

To strengthen individualized solutions to psychosocial issues, Bertelsmann Group employees are offered confidential and professional consulting services throughout Germany, in some cases in cooperation with external consultation providers. In-house social counseling supports all employees, relatives and organizational units in professional, psychosocial, mental, financial and health matters. If necessary, and following consultation, outreach to appropriate departments and or managers can also take place.
